If older women obey Titus 2—teaching what is “good”— that means discipling young ladies to love husbands, love children, be self-controlled, pure, kind, submissive, and keepers at home.
We live in a popular culture that celebrates and encourages university as the only way for young ladies to pursue education. The fruit of these university systems is counter to what Titus 2 says the older ladies are to teach the younger ladies. Women getting married later and later (or maybe not at all). It becomes harder to be a keeper of the home and home with your children because many are enslaved to student loan debt. And their has been no education on the practicalities of managing the home i.e. the home economy.
What if instead we give a positive vision for young ladies to be wives, mothers, and home economists. Teaching them skills in these areas so they can thrive in the domain the God said is GOOD.
